I started feeling pain in my Right Breast about 3 weeks ago and a few days ago my Left Breast also started with pain, but I also started feeling that my Left breast was filling up with fluid. I was not sure why I was feeling my breast full like that so I squeezed it, brown discharge came out, I was so scared I called my GYN doctor which he said come to my office as soon as possible. In the examination he took some of the discharge on a slide to be sent to the lab, he also had blood drawn. I scheduled my mammogram and breast sonogram next week. I am so scared, I have 4 children, I don't know what is wrong yet all I do know I don't want to ever leave my children not now not ever. God hear my prayers and don't let that happen to me, please.

I have lost 2 people in as many years from Cancer. Although they did not suffer from breast cancer it has put me in a position where I want to become more involved. As a woman in business I am going to bring awareness to my seminars about breast cancer and even if just a reminder, encourage woman to take charge of their health and do all possible to live cancer free. My hat goes off to those living with it and my admiration to those who did not survive. I hope my little part changes at least one life.

I am writing for my very best friend in the whole world who has had a lump found in her neck in her lymphnodes and we are praying it is not cancerous. A biopsy was done but the results are not back yet. She has to go for a catscan on 5/18/05. Does anyone know if the lymphnodes have anything to do with the parathroid glands? My final thouhgt is you really don't realize how serious cancer is until a loved one is diagnosed with it. I will do my best to support anyone or organization to help with any kind of cancer even if God does bless her with not having cancer because just the scare and thought alone is very scary. No matter of the outcome Matilda i will be with you every step of the way and Love you until the end of time. GOD BLESS EVERYONE!!!

I'm a 42 year old single mother and I stumbled upon this site because I'm trying to get information on reconstructive surgery using tran flaps. I've seen 3 plastic surgeons. My appt. today was with a doctor that appears on the discovery health channel. Because I have a small stomach, he told me the cons of the tran flap, but I have on other choice since my back area received radiation and that skin can not be used. I found out that I had breast cancer on 10/17/2003. (I'd just had a mammogram on 6/8/03 that showed nothing !) I had my breast removed in May 2004. I've completed 20 cycles of chemo via i.v. AND took oral chemo pills daily. The treatment made my fingernails and toenails lift up and fall off. My fingers would swell up like an ailen's hand, then the nails would fall off. The plam of my hands and the bottom of my feet were as black as asphalt. Of course I had no hair, eyebrows, lashes, etc. My skin was terribly discolored. I gained 20 pounds because of the steriods ! The 6 weeks of radiation was a cake walk compared to chemo. I've been challenged with this since 2003, now it's 2005. I finished my last radiation treatment 12/18/2004. My nails have grown back, my skin is once again clear, I'm even growing beautiful super soft wavy hair! It's been ROUGH, very ROUGH. But by the grace of God and my faith, along with family and true friends, I know that nothing is impossible. Follow your doctors advice, don't give up.. giving up is not an option :) P.S. If anyone has info on the tran flap surgery, please let me know. Thanks & God Bless, GG

I just had a microcalcifcation removed 1/7/05. Now they have me on Tomoxifen and I start radiation next week 5 days a week for 5 weeks. I am almost 60 yrs. old and still have a lot to do. I am a little scared but I have trust in God and He will guilde my Dr's. I would like to know more about the side effects of the tomoxifen. The Dr told me some but the more I read the more side effects there seem to be. I had already be in menopause so the night sweats aren't anything new. Right now I am having trouble with the site of the surgery, it keeps on filling with fluid. They took out 29cc's of fluid last week & I go tomorrow to have it drained again. There isn't any history of breast cancer in my family. I have some friends I can talk to but they don't seem to understand what I am going thru. My husband is very supportive, we are planning a cruise in March. Thank you for listening. Mary

Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there was diagnosed with breast cancer from finding of clusters of cysts. I just had a ultrasound and I have about 6 or 7 cyst approx. 3/8" and I was told by the radiologist that they were nothing to be concern about. Just liquid in the cyst, was this enough to vertify that my breast has no cancer? I have no family history of breast cancer and I'm 47 years old.

I am a stage 3 breast cancer survivor of 3 years. Diagnosed in Aug 2001 my right breast removed along with 26 lymph nodes 15 we positive. Chemo, radiation lymphedema and everything that could go wrong has. I was so severly burned with radiation that I have had to have the reconstructed breast removed. I have a wonderful plastic surg. and have recently had the breast reconstructed with muscle from my back. I am so happy to get rid of the monster that was on my chest. I have been taking Arimidex for almost 2 years in major menopause hot flashes the whole deal. Christmas Eve I started bleeding, now I am looking at a hysterectomy as I am no longer in menopause and the cancer feeds on estrogen. I am really scared, but I have faith in prayer and that God will do what is best please pray that on Tues I will get good news. God bless you all. Breast cancer is something that nobody can understand until you walk in those shoes. There is always HOPE! Wear your Pink Ribbons

November5,I had my first lumpectomy. My docter wasn't satisfied with the margins and my pathology test turned out to be more than originally (dcis). Now its upgraded to invasive fast growing.November 19 I had more surgery taking a wider margin and five lympth nodes. Results to this is no cancer in the area and none in the nodes. However it showed a small papilloma with epithelial atypia. Can someone explain to me what this means. Is this the seed of another cancerous growth?I'm now getting ready for radiation in January and chemo. Please reply if you have any information on this.

I recently had my annual exam done and the doctor found a lump in my right breast. I just turned 35 years old on the day that this was told to me, this was not the kind of birthday present I wanted but I am thankful that it was found. I go in for a mammogram on the 7th of September and hopefully all is well. All I can do is pray about it and stay positive and enjoy my life!! I am stressing about it and a little scared but have the love and support of my children and my husband and I know I will get through it!

Tingling in breast plate and strange feeling around breast like swollen. I'm nervous of what they might find. My other Dr.'s passed the buck and told me not to worry. "we'll keep an eye on them" Moffitt made an appt. with me right away with no diagnosis of tumor or cancer. I tell these people i have lived in my body for 31 yrs. I know when something is not right. I am a 42 year old whom was diagnosed with an aggressive ductal breast cancer in January. I've had a lumpectomy (2.3 mass removed) which my surgeon said was clear margins with no lymph nodes affected. I just had my 6 treatment of chemo (tac) and will follow with radiation for 6 weeks. I'm blessed to have a great husband amd family for support and have stayed positive with a good attitude thru out this life changing challenge that God has given me. I'm wondering about the re-occurence in others like myself? For those of you starting this journey, stay positive and have faith.

My warning to ALL WOMEN is if you have several cysts, get a mammogram/ultrasound MORE OFTEN than once a year. I had numerous cycts, and doctors at a nationally known hospital also knew my sister had breast cancer (12 years ago and doing fine). Doctors said the kind of cysts I had were "nothing to worry about". Well, the actual cysts may not have been, but THEY CAN MASK any changes and hide a lump that is breat cancer. That is what happened to me. Right before my next annual mammogram, I got a sore that was cancer, even though there was no change in feel due to the multiple cysts. Had I had mammograms/ultrasounds more often than once a year, I maybe could have stopped it earlier. Went through chemo, radical mastectomy, radiation. Within 6 months found it had spread to bone. Now undergoing monthly chemo to hold it at bay for as long as possible. Please, if you have cysts, ask your doctor to do mammograms and ultrasound more often. If he/she disagrees, CHANGE DOCTORS!!!! I wish I had changed doctors sooner.

Hello there! I had my right breast removed 6 weeks, just started chemo, I am 52 years old, and would like to hear from anyone, just to keep in contact whilst on the journey. I found the cancer out by my first mamogram just before Easter, luckily grade 1 but had gone to 4 nodes. HOPE TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE, GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

I was diagnosed with Stage 2a breast cancer in February of 2003. Within 10 days it had become Stage 4. I went through adjunctive chemo before having a mastectomy. I then had 6 more months of chemo along with the Zometa every 4 weeks, I weekly received Taxol and Herceptin. I have recently had my reconstruction/ reduction surgery done. (I had always wanted a breast reduction!) I will be receiving my permanent implant in about 2 months. I will be returning to work at the end of June! Thanks to God, my doctors, my chemo nurses, my parents, family, friends and the complete strangers who prayed for me, gave me hope and held my hand.

I have recently had a lump found by mamogram and of course I am nervous and scared. I am searching on your web for all the info I can get before meeting with the doctor and make a list of questions to ask. To everyone who finds themselves in this position I wish many blessings and my strong support for the future. Thank you.

I had a 9 month bout with breast cancer 12 years ago and have had no further problem; however, I have recently developed lymphedema and even though I've purchased a sleeve and an arm pump, it hasn't improved, but is getting worse. With God's help, I'm hoping to overcome this ordeal and live a quality life. Thank you for allowing me to be involved with you.
